first time jitters

I got a haircut (yes, technically it`s the same length, but look at all dem layers!)

I have to fess up you guys, I have major butterflies in my stomach when I even think about anyone going near my hair with scissors.

I`ve had some pretty horrid experiences -
like do you ever notice how they always cut off WAY too much
when you come in saying..
"Just a trim please!"
Or when the hairdresser decides to give you a rat tail? (no? was that just me?)

After that, I decided to chop it all off (a-la mrs. beckham)
SO I rocked the short look, but eventually it grew out.
And I refused to cut it. Stubborn girl I am.

Now, a year later, I finally realized it was time to learn to trust again
&& I'm SO happy with the cut!
First time jitters no more!

I can't wait to play around with it
&& now that there is actually some shape, I don't look so much like Morticia Adams

Your hair looks gorgeous! And can I just say, finding a hair stylist whom I am actually comfortable with and trust completely will be the death of me! I've yet to find one!

Happy weekend to you :) xoxo

I am right there with you! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this hairdresser sticks around because she's honestly the best one I have been to!

Hope you have an amazing weekend! Thank you so much for your comments.

Love your new look! I have some hair horror stories, like the time I just wanted hair-lights but left the salon with redhair and a burnt sculp. I have a stylist now and I love how she colors my hair but she can't cut at all... So I am still in the search for that one perfect stylist.

It looks absolutely awesome!! I'm the same way with always having jitters- glad you found someone who did it well so you don't have to worry anymore. Have a great weekend!

I'm the same way about people cutting my hair. I still have yet to find someone I like since moving here.

It looks SO pretty and healthy! When I cut my hair short six months ago after having it long for years I was almost shaking in the salon chair...but as soon as it was done I loved it. :)

So. I LOVE these photos! You look stunning.
You never ever EVER looked like Morticia Adams! You are a tool shed.
I have never been afraid of anyone doing my hair... haha! I don't know why. I once walked into a hair salon randomly, got an appointment for the next day when it looked like it does now, super long and brown ( did I mention I didn't tell anyone about this appointment) and chopped my hair off completely, like to my chin, and died it burgundy. Hilarious. I didn't mind it either. Although whenever you have a drastically different hair cut, doesn't it feel weird? I'm sort of addicted to that feeling.
You look great! I love your layers!

Totally adorable haircut! I love all the layers! I am the same as you!! I am soo scared to get a haircut! In fact I have not cut my hair for a year :(

When I got married my hair was down to my butt almost and I went to cut it and I asked them to cut it just below the shoulder. Well the lady gave me a BOB!!!! I wanted to just die!!!!

Your haircut turned out wonderfully!

I'm loving your new cut! I used to have layers as well but grew them out over the past 2 years. My hair is an easy target for the wind, "electricity" and frizzyness (split ends!). It lookd horrible all the time. no more layers for me. x

It looks awesome!
And I've gone to the same hairdresser for years and years so no jitters for me.
But when I move and have to find a new one...uh oh.

Delayed respsonse...I have been so busy. I am the same way. For some reason cutting my hair is not a risk I usually take. Some people can chop it off, color it, and change it like the wind. I am a creature of habit when it comes to my hair so I completely understand your nerves. It looks good though, sometimes subtle change is all you need.

I think you look beautiful with your new hair cut and I am so glad to hear you are no longer anxious to go to the hair salon! Getting my hair cut is one of my favorite ways to pamper myself, and I would hate the idea that you didn't enjoy it. :)

Looks great Katya the layers really suit you - hang on tight to that hairdresser they are so hard to come by! ;)

Ah your hair looks beautiful! I totally know what you mean though - every time I say "just a trim," I feel like inches get lopped off! But I've learned to just go with the flow and let my hairstylist do her thing! :)
