Boyfriend is fairly impulsive by nature, I on the other hand (being a Virgo) have a planner for every part of my life. I think that's why we click, he keeps me on my toes and I keep him grounded. As a surprise, I decided to reverse our roles this weekend, and just once take a walk in his shoes. A simple "road trip this weekend?" text and I had all of a sudden transformed into this spontaneous gall. Let me tell you, that never (ever) happens.
So we got our bums out of bed super early on Saturday and headed to Niagara Falls, to visit a friend, do some Christmas shopping and get away from the dreaded boring daily routine. After 15 hours, we made our way back across the border...with a belly full of delicious duck (if anyone lives in Buffalo - The Blue Monk is the way to go)....& impossible to pronounce German beers...a car full of Christmas presents...and memories to last us until we can get away again.
OH. And unfortunately a little of this happened...

EEE! I love Niagara Falls trips! I'm originally from Buffalo ( and there now for the holiday), but I've never been to Blue Monk. I'll have to check it out sometime!
What a fun idea to switch things up. I'm like you - a total planner. I get pretty flustered when something comes up that wasn't on my agenda. This type of little trip sounds like it would be good for me and my bf :)
Oh what a fun post! I love the preroad trip pic in particular, I usually don't eat McDonald's but it's the perfect thing before you have to hit the road! Great post love :)

Hahahahahahaha OKAY we can be best friends now, kthx. I've never been to Niagara Falls! But... I love to sing crazy loud in cars. Enough that it's probably embarrassing for the boy who doesn't know the song! But I don't record myself. In cars. I am so happy that this happened. You are so cute.
