Blouse & Pants from Old Navy Boots from Winners Jacket from Aritzia
When bloggers are on hiatus, it usually means they are incredibly busy with exciting things like traveling and wedding plans and new babies - or not as exciting but just as justified - studying and working. I however, have no such reasons for being absent for a week. Has it really been that long?
Since honesty is, undoubtedly, the best policy....I have to fess up. Every free minute I had this week was spent reading The Hunger Games. I snuck in reading during off time at work, I read on the way home. I read before, during and after dinner. I read in the tub, on the couch, while doing laundry and of course in bed till the wee hours of the night. I have to say, now that I'm done the trilogy I wish I hadn't read it so fast. Now I'm limmited to obsessing over the movie trailer and trying to patiently wait until March.

That's funny, although I have to admit that I'm doing the same thing with a book series that I have read before. There's 10 books in the one I'm reading and I'm now on book 6 after about three weeks. My only issue is that I own books 1 - 7, but not 8/9/10... I need to find them at the library quickly or visit ebay!
haha, i love this confession. the hunger games rocks, so i don't blame you. this blouse is awesome - love the quirky print!
Awesome! I haven't read it but everyone seems to be addicted, dare I investigate for myself?
Ps love that top on you! Ive got the same one but I love how you paired it with wide leg jeans. Thanks for the inspiration !
i love the hungergames! so much! you look beautiful too!
I don't think anyone who's read the series can blame you :P I've read the entire trilogy three times since Christmas!
(Advance sale tickets for the movie go on sale TODAY!!! I have a friend picking mine up for me :) haha)

I"ve heard they're good, but all 3 in a week!? You're insane. Glad you're back :)
haha, I read the first book in a week, but have yet to start on the others. glad to hear you enjoyed them, and hey, you can always read them again :)
love your camel coat and pretty bird blouse!
Hunger Games is a very legitimate and good excuse to quit blogging for a week. I don't blame you. But I'm glad your back :)
xoxo,
Joelle
Yep, totally addicting - can't blame you for that!
Also, love how the coat works with the rest of this outfit. So cute!
It's a great feeling to get so enthralled with a book though, isn't it? Especially a series like The Hunger Games! Luckily, March isn't too far away. ;)

Hahaha.. I went through the same thing when I read them.. I hate the emptiness after reading a good book! And for days after that I could not stop thinking of Katniss and everything related to the book! Good to know I was not the only one obsessing about the book :-D
The Hungers Games is a fabulous reason to miss a few posts - I've been there, where all you want to do is live, sleep, eat, and breathe in one of the Districts...

I am stuck on the 2nd book! It's been hard to get as into it as the 1st book!! I have to finish the trilogy before the movie comes out. (That's my goal.)

you are so cute! lovin' your coat :-) and i always do that during a good book- rush through it because it's so good, then finish it and be left in a daze...but luckily the movie is coming out soon!
That's so weird! I just finished the Hunger Game series this past week too! I managed to put up a post or two but not much else was accomplished that week either! lol.
